1999 Mercury Cougar (ex-World Challenge)

The Mercury Cougar was purchased as a spare car for the team, and had acted in that capacity in 2009 (once).  The car is a ex-World Challenge car built by Capaldi racing in Michigan.  It is one of two known Cougar race cars in North America (and maybe the world!)  Rare beast indeed!

Ken Baird had campained the car in both CCTCC and GT Sprints, where he captured several podiums.

- 2.5L V6 from Ford Contour SVT
- 12.8:1 compression, fully built race engine (WC spec)
- Custom software on stock ECU
- Ford prototype 5 speed tranmission (serial number 00000000)
- Quaife LSD
